Available across the brand and model lines of GM, OnStar is an onboard safety, security, and connectivity system that enables you to directly access an Emergency-certified Onstar Advisor who will assist you in a variety of emergencies and non-emergency situations. With just a press of a button, OnStar’s 20 years of experience provides peace of mind when the unexpected happens during your trip.
If a collision occurs, the Automatic Crash Response (ACR) system puts you in contact with an OnStar Advisor–pushing the emergency button is not necessary. When you need to save critical time in contacting emergency services and you are unable to do so, OnStar can help.
OnStar also offers a vehicle theft location feature. The Stolen Vehicle Assistance service integrates GPS technology to help local authorities locate your stolen vehicle.
OnStar provides assistance when your vehicle encounters an engine or other trouble, and it is disabled. With a press of the OnStar button, you can contact an Advisor to initiate the Roadside Assistance service. The Advisor will find and dispatch a nearby service provider to assist with on-the-spot repairs or a tow.
OnStar is ready to assist you in other unexpected events during your trip. Extreme weather, natural disasters, and related interruptions can pose a risk to you and your passengers. An advisor will assist in finding alternate routes, hotels, and more that will keep you out of harm’s way.
Connected Services Plans
OnStar also offers several Connected Services plans that offer you convenience and the ability to stay ahead of vehicle maintenance.
Connected Access delivers you a monthly Diagnostics Report and Vehicle Alerts that provide a full profile on the health of your vehicle. The Dealer Maintenance Notification module communicates with your preferred dealer about maintenance dates so they can initiate contact with you and schedule an appointment.
The upgraded Remote Access Plan includes Remote Key Fob, On-Demand Diagnostics, Send-to-Navigation, all Connected Access Plan services, and much more.
When you need a full navigation suite, monthly data, and an integrated 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, the Premium Access Plan is the right choice. This plan also includes all services in the Connected Access and Remote Services plans.
